Lovin’ what the folks at Arc did for Jelly Telly with Joomla CMS

One of the more popular presentations at the CMS Expo in Chicago was the show and tell by Arc Technology Group of the project they did for Jelly Telly. John Coonen tweeted about it this week, directing folks to jellytelly.com and arctg.com.Jellytelly was created by the same guy who created the wildly popular Veggie Tales children’s television to keep pace with the trends in technology that kids are following. JellyTelly is a commercial producer of family videos, made famous by the VeggieTales series that have been incredibly popular among families around the world for the past fifteen years – first on VHS and later on DVD. Arc Technology Group worked with them in a total revamp of their production and distribution process, and the resultant management system, built as Joomla extensions allows for a far deeper user experience than ever before. To provide an engaging user experience, the 3 or 4 minute videos are seamlessly built by background logic, ensuring a variation of content with every reload, and providing contextual links that pull the reader fur ther into the site. The component will be released in the near future – for general use – as a “video content manager for Joomla” component. We can expect it to be released under appropriate open source license by the end of 2009. If you have video management requirements on your Joomla site, this component will provide the content management that you need.
